Off-The-Wall - There's Power In Silence:
Today I'd like to talk about "The Power of Silence." Over the years I've found out that you can make more of an impact without even saying a word. Just like a Lion in the jungle, the Lion is king and without even letting out a roar everyone fears the lion. You see power is in expression not words. You can truly move mountains when your honest in our own emotions. So many times in life I tried to be right, and when you try, your not being true! I challenge you all today to live your life as the Lion! Go out with confidence! Be true and open with your feelings! Understand that all the noise in the world is nothing compared to the Power of Silence. |

Will You Be There?:
The other day I was driving in the car with Tina and there was this old man stuck right in the middle of the street. He was just sitting there helpless. About two blocks before that was a service station he was to afraid to cross the busy street and ask for help, I got out of the car and told Tina to follow me. I walked up to the old man and said do you need help? He pointed to the service station and said, "I wish I could just be there." I told him put the car in neutral and keep your foot off the brake. I'm going to get you there! I got behind the car and pushed it all the way there (with him in it). It was a small car thank god. When I got to the service station the old man came out of the car and without words just hugged me. To many of us today drive right by people when there helpless on the side of the road. How do you really know someone is coming to help them? Will you drive right by? Or, Will You Be There. |

Give Them Your Back:
Today I'd like to talk about people who love to gossip. These are the same people that will be friendly to your face and as soon as you turn around their talking about you. I say, give them your back. When they say hi to you or want to come up and be friendly just turn around and give them your back. I'll explain why! People that are phony or like to gossip about others don't care about anyone but themselves. They have no compassion and are some of the most insecure people on earth. If you talk to them and let them into your life they will only cause you grief. So, the next time they see you and want to talk to you, "Give them your back", turn right around on them and walk the other way, Trust me, they'll get the point. Go in the opposite direction of negativity!

Judge with your Heart, Not your Eyes:
I'd like to talk today about people who judge others by the way they look, the way they dress, their skin color, their nationality, whatever seems different to them. I've found in life that the way a person looks on the outside is no where near as important as the way they look on the inside. We are all one! We all come from the same place and when we are born we're innocent. It's ignorance that changes us, it's ignorance that makes us prejudice. My best friends are Greek, Jewish, African American, Chinese and Hindu, go figure that one out! When I have dinner at my house all of us get along and laugh. Now if we can do that, why can't the rest of the world? You know they say God works in mysterious ways, the people we're taught to be prejudice against are the same people who could wind up being your greatest friends. Don't Judge with your eyes, judge with your heart. |
